SMI’s cooling systems are designed to optimize performance, reduce energy consumption, and extend your snowmaking window into warmer conditions.

Our water cooling towers bring source water to the ideal temperature before it reaches your snow guns, improving snow quality and overall production efficiency. For compressed air systems, aftercoolers reduce discharge air temperature before it enters your network, lowering energy demand and improving system performance.

For operations requiring maximum flexibility, SMI also offers glycol cooling systems capable of pre-chilling water below the limits of traditional cooling towers. This allows for snowmaking in warmer conditions and more consistent snow quality when conditions are marginal.

To further optimize performance, we provide customized control systems with variable-frequency drives (VFDs) that adjust cooling tower fan speeds based on demand, along with soft starters that extend pump life and reduce maintenance.

All cooling systems integrate with SmartSnow7 for centralized control of your air, water, and pumping infrastructure.
