Bill Topham has extensive experience in resort management, design and construction that spans more than 35 years. He has served as Area Manager at Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands, responsible for all year-round operations, and as General Manager at Sylvan, where he oversaw the design, construction and operation of a new Winter / Summerresort. Bill was a member of the original design team that developed the Boyne Snowmaker in the early 1970s, and he has been heavily involved in snowmaking design, research and development since joining SMI nearly 20 years ago. A registered professional engineer in Michigan, Bill holds both U.S. and foreign patents for snowmaking equipment, and has been responsible for over 100 snow making system designs for new and expanded operations at ski areas and automotive testing facilities throughout the world.
