SMI will overview the existing snowmaking system coverage areas, weather data, water supply and distribution, power supply and distribution, air supply and distribution, snow gun fleets and capital/operating costs. We then take the time to understand your mountain, preferences and costs to help design a high value solution.
Snowmaking plans should be over at least a five year window and preferably over 10 years. SMI will help develop a phased snowmaking high level master plan that meets your needs. The master plan can be big picture only or a fully detailed and specified design. SMI excels at finding the best methods for collecting, storing and distributing water in difficult mountain terrain.
SMI has multiple engineers to utilize to produce customized CAD drawings and specifications. Drawings and output can be color and/or black and white. Coverage areas, piping schemes, power plans, pumping and compressor layouts, valve pits, snow gun startup plans, tower and portable snow gun layouts, and building layouts are just some of the output you can receive. Detailed specifications for all equipment and installation can also be provided for competitive bidding purposes.
