SMI® Standard PoleCat Snowmaker: Simple Operation and Low Maintenance
The SMI PoleCat series was built for simple operation and low maintenance, and is the best option when using a non-potable or unfiltered water supply. The Standard PoleCat Snowmaker is SMI’s mid-size model for medium throw.
and can be specified in a variety of tower and carriage mounts, with an onboard compressor or hill air feed, and set up for manual or automatic operation.
The Standard PoleCat uses a 10 HP (7.5 kW) or a 15 HP (11 kW) fan and 18 spray nozzles that are customized to achieve water flows to suit specific climates. Nucleated with a central six-jet nozzle, water flow is easily controlled by three heated, self-draining valves.
