SMI SmartSnow™ 5.0 is the latest in automation control software that integrates all snowmaking components into a user friendly interface and can be customized to your needs. SMI’s latest version of automation software and control system makes it even easier to use one platform to operate your ski area. With SmartSnow™ 5.0, not only can you automatically and efficiently run your snowmaking, but can also:
- Automatically operate and monitor pump stations and other auxiliary equipment (such as central air compressors, nucleating inducer system, cooling towers, etc.)
- Monitor and provide local weather data using the SMI SmartWeather package
- Monitor lifts for usage efficiency and power
- Operate and monitor security systems or site buildings for heating and security
SmartSnow has been developed with ski areas over the past 10 years to provide a menu-driven, flexible package. Some important features of SmartSnow 5.0 include:
- Screens are easy to navigate and provide information in easy to view and control format
- Various access options for system overview or updates on status (such as via internet, etc.)
- Snowmaking machines, plant and resort information can be controlled individually, in multiples, globally or in view only mode
- Easy to optimize snow quality for individual or multiple machine locations
- Easy to view multiple or individual snow machines or trail maps with machine locations
- Report and graphing features are menu-driven and provide excellent reporting
- Weather data is simple to monitor and track
- Plant packages can be integrated or standalone. Computer models of pump stations, compressors, etc. are accurately modeled
- Can interface to machine rooms, trail lights, cameras and power monitoring systems
